SANCIER BF

Sanceo x HPM D’Amour (Dancier x Conteur)

2024 Hanoverian Gelding

Sancier BF is by the Olympic stallion Sanceo, the international Grand Prix partner of Sabine Schut-Kery and a member of the U.S. Team Silver Medal squad at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Sanceo is by San Remo, a son of the legendary Sandro Hit, bringing modern dressage elasticity, expression, and natural uphill mechanics into the pedigree. His dam line traces to Ramiro’s Son, contributing the strength, soundness, and rideability long valued in traditional Hanoverian breeding. Sanceo is admired for his correct build, powerful yet supple gaits, and exceptionally kind, trainable temperament — qualities that have made him both a top sport horse and a highly desirable sire for producing athletic, rideable dressage prospects.

The true depth of Sancier BF’s pedigree lies in his dam, HPM D’Amour, whose lineage is anchored by two highly influential sires: Dancier and Conteur.

D’Amour is by Dancier, one of the most important modern Hanoverian dressage sires. A son of De Niro out of a Lancier mare, Dancier is known for producing offspring with exceptional elasticity through the topline, natural balance, rhythmic gaits, and outstanding rideability. His horses are recognized for their supple mechanics, willing temperaments, and ability to progress successfully from young horse classes into upper-level dressage.

Behind Dancier in this mare line is Conteur, a Holsteiner stallion known for both refinement and jumping ability, adding strength, athleticism, and powerful hind-end mechanics to the pedigree. Conteur contributes excellent bone, balance, coordination, and freedom in the shoulder, along with a good mind — traits that translate beautifully into the power, collection, and self-carriage required in dressage.

Together, the dam line through D’Amour blends Dancier’s elasticity and rideability with Conteur’s athletic strength and correctness, creating a foundation of proven sport-horse genetics that perfectly complements Sanceo’s modern international dressage blood.

HPM D’Amour

HPM D’Amour is an imported 2007 Hanoverian mare by Dancier out of a States Premium mare, SPS Corvette, by the Holsteiner Conteur. D’Amour was a States Premium candidate prior to being imported by a Texas breeder in 2011 and she achieved her AHS Elite status upon the birth of her first foal in the US. While most of D’Amour’s career has been spent as a broodmare, through research and her German performance test scores we have learned that her movement under saddle was excellent and she received high marks for character and rideability. Her offspring have all been extraordinarily high quality and we are excited she is part of our breeding program.

Sanceo

Sanceo, the Olympic dressage stallion, has proven to be an exceptional breeding sire, passing on his elegance, rideability, and expressive movement to his offspring. A son of San Remo, he combines top European bloodlines with a stellar competition record. Under Sabine Schut-Kery, Sanceo helped secure team silver for the U.S. at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, delivering a personal best Grand Prix Special score of 81.596%. He also claimed multiple CDI victories, dominated the U.S. Developing Horse ranks, and was a standout competitor at the Pan American Games. His progeny inherit his uphill build, refined type, and exceptional trainability, making them highly desirable for both professional and amateur riders. With his proven success in Grand Prix dressage and outstanding temperament, Sanceo continues to influence the next generation of dressage horses.
