Limoncello is a 2022 Hanoverian filly by Elite Stallion Liberty Gold and out of Fuerst Blush (Fuerst Piccolo – Matchoson), and she beautifully represents the kind of cross we strive to create in our program. Liberty Gold, by Londonderry out of a Weltmeyer mare, is well known for stamping his offspring with uphill balance, expressive gaits, correct conformation, and — perhaps most memorably — an exceptionally kind, people-oriented temperament. His young horses are consistently noted for being elegant, elastic movers with rideability far beyond their years, and Limoncello is no exception.

On her dam side, Fuerst Blush contributes equally important dressage genetics. By Fuerst Piccolo, a son of Fidermark, this line brings elasticity through the topline, beautiful cadence, and trainability that are hallmarks of the Florestan/Fidermark influence. Behind that, Matchoson adds strength, substance, and proven Hanoverian reliability, and through him comes the valuable influence of Matcho AA — the Anglo-Arabian stallion renowned for refining type, adding elegance, stamina, and excellent movement to Hanoverian sport horse pedigrees. This layer of blood brings both durability and refinement, grounding the pedigree with the correctness and athleticism that support long sport careers.

The combination of Liberty Gold’s refinement and friendly character with the elasticity and substance from Fuerst Blush’s lineage creates a filly with both presence and practicality. “Cello,” as she’s affectionately known, is the perfect example of how Liberty Gold so often improves upon the dam, consistently adding elegance, balance, and that unmistakable easygoing personality.
