La Dolce Vita

ES Liberty Gold x HPM Maui

La Dolce Vita, fondly known as “Lola,” is a 2021 Hanoverian mare out of HPM Maui and by Elite Stallion Liberty Gold, and she is a beautiful example of the thoughtful layering of bloodlines we value in our program. Liberty Gold, by Londonderry and out of a Weltmeyer mare, is celebrated for producing offspring with elegant type, natural uphill balance, expressive gaits, and an especially kind, people-oriented temperament. A double champion in Germany at both his licensing and performance test, Liberty Gold is known for reliably improving on his mares by adding freedom through the shoulder, elasticity through the topline, and an overall refinement that elevates both movement and rideability.

Lola is very much a reflection of this influence. While she is a true doppelgänger for her correct and lovely dam, Liberty Gold added the scope and loft in her movement that will make her especially eye-catching in the dressage arena. Through her dam line, Lola also carries the valuable influence of Madison and, behind him, the renowned Matcho AA — the Anglo-Arabian stallion prized in Hanoverian breeding for adding refinement, stamina, excellent movement, and durability to sport horse pedigrees. This line contributes elegance, strong topline mechanics, and the kind of athletic longevity that supports long, successful careers in sport.

The combination of Liberty Gold’s modern dressage type and friendly character with the refinement, substance, and athleticism from the Matcho AA line gives Lola both presence and practicality — beautiful to look at, balanced in her mechanics, and delightful in temperament. Lola is remaining with us as a future broodmare and dressage partner, and we are very excited for the exceptional dressage prospects she will produce in the years to come.

Lola had an AHS Gold Medal filly in 2025 - Soleil BF - and is now in training with Sarah Doyle at Willow Hill Equestrian.

HPM Maui

HPM Maui is a 2005 mare by ES Madison (Matcho AA) out of imported mare MS Diva (Dollberg). Competed through third level dressage, Maui was retired to the breeding shed after an injury and has produced four lovely foals (one by Ampere and three by Liberty Gold). Possessing excellent conformation and lovely, correct movement, Maui has been an exemplary mare and is now happily retired with us.

ES Liberty Gold

This is, hands down, one of our favorite breeding stallions (evidenced by the numerous LG offspring we have!). Elite Hanoverian stallion Liberty Gold was Double Champion of both his stallion licensing in Verden and his performance test in Adelheidsdorf. He remained in Germany until 2004 competing and placed first out of 42 horses in Adelheidsdorf with a dressage index score of 147.75 and overall score of 140.93. After being imported in 2005, Liberty won all 7 classes at Dressage at Devon both in hand and under saddle. He was then retired to the breeding shed and has produced dozens of offspring that are reaching the highest levels of sport. A son of Londonderry, Liberty’s offspring possess his stunning movement, correct conformation, and an amazing, easygoing, and friendly temperament that makes them a true joy to own and train.
